Open Call: AGENCY NYC Residency (Spring 2027)

Thank you for your interest in Eybeam's NYC Residency! This page contains important information to help guide you through the application process.

Before You Begin

1. Review our Open Call for this year’s residency theme, AGENCY.

2. Confirm your eligibility. Applicants for our NYC residencies must:

• Live in New York City, within its five boroughs
• Be able to work on site at Eyebeam at least one day a week for the full residency term
• Apply as individuals; collectives and collaborative teams are not eligible for this cycle.
• Not be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program or employed as full-time faculty at a higher-learning institution.
• Not be participating in or committed to another residency during the residency term.

3. Gather your materials. We recommend reviewing this guide to ensure you have all of the required application materials. You will be able to save your application before submission so that you may complete it across multiple sessions if needed, but please note that you will not be able to edit your application once you have submitted it.

Applications Open: September 21, 2026

Application Deadline: November 15, 2026 at 11:59PM EST

Interview Period: December 7-10, 2026

Notifications: December 14, 2026

Residency Period: March 15-June 11, 2027
